Servas 회원님께 Denmark 에 사는 Mr.Kaae 가 worldcup 기간중 국내 Host를 찾고 있습니다. 저에게 부탁이 왔으나 학기말이라 직책상 바쁘고, 또 이기간중 오시는 접대해야할 외국 손님이 많아 부득히 거절했습니다. Mr.Kaae 의 편지와 저의 답장을 첨부하니 보시고 뜻이 있으시면 Mr.Kaae에게 소식 주시기 바랍니다. 경희대학교 박 종 국 Denmark 23. April 2002 Dear Mr. Park Chong-kuk I have found your name and address on the Servas host-list and I am writing to inform you that I will be visiting your country in June. The primary reason is the FIFA World Cup 2002 hold in Korea and Japan from May 31st to June 30th. I will be working as a journalist during the tournament and therefore my presence to some of the games will be necessary. But since I am not expected to produce daily articles and newslines, I am given the opportunity to explore the two countries, the coutures and - not least - the people of Korea and Japan. I intend to do that partly as a Servas-traveller since I have leant from colleagues that Servas is a great way to meet the people of the world on a friendly basis. Partly to learn about the country and the culture, partly to establish friendships in another part of world. From May 28th to approximately June 12th I will be travelling Korea. As for now my route starts in Seoul for the first week, then I will move southwest to the Busan-area for a short week and then return to Seoul before flying to Japan. In Japan I will make my way through the country from Fukuoka to Tokyo with expected stops in Oita June 16th, Osaka June 22nd and Tokyo-area from June 25th. Please do not hesitate to respond to this letter if you have any interest in a short visit from the country that created Hans Christian Andersen, Lego, Carlsberg and Her majesty the Queen Margrethe Ⅱ.
