IMPORTANT SERVAS ANNOUNCEMENT: Invitation to member countries to apply for SI funding to attend SICOGA 2018새창으로 읽기

Dear Servas friends This message is being sent on behalf of SI Exco to all member countries that will be eligible to send a delegate to SICOGA 2018 – the Servas International General Assembly and Conference. This will be held in Seoul, South Korea from October 13th to 20th October 2018. If you are a member country with voting rights, and do not have enough resources to fund the travel costs and registration fee for a delegate to attend the conference, you may be eligible to apply for some financial help from Servas International. Please read the attached guidance carefully. It sets out the requirements that must be met by a member country before a funding application can be considered. SI Exco will be responsible for the allocation of funds from the SI budget and we will begin decision-making at our next face to face meeting in March 2018. We will consider how best to allocate the limited resources we have in as fair a way as possible. Our aim will be to make sure that the General Assembly is representative of the cultural and regional diversity within Servas worldwide. We anticipate being able to make offers of funding by the end of May 2018. More details are to follow about booking flights and making a visa application where one is needed. If after reading the requirements you think you are eligible to apply for funding you are invited to complete the attached application form and return it to Ann Greenhough at vicepresident@servas.org, no later than 22nd February 2018. However please note that submitting an application for funding gives no guarantee that financial help will be available. With your application you are also asked to include an estimate of the most economic return flight from your country to the conference venue in South Korea. You will also need to find out if you require a visa to visit South Korea. Let us know if you have any questions about making an application or any other queries Please remember the closing date for applications is February 22nd 2018 Other announcements about arrangements for SICOGA 2018 and about how to register as a participant will be circulated soon. Querido amigos Servas Enviamos este mensaje en nombre de SI Exco para todos los países miembros que califican para enviar un delegado a la SICOGA 2018 – la Asamblea General y Conferencia de Servas Internacional que se llevará a cabo en Seúl, Corea del Sur del 13 al 19 de octubre del 2018. Si es un país miembro con derecho a voto, y no cuenta con los recursos suficientes para financiar los costos de viaje y registro para que un delegado asista a la conferencia, puede calificar para solicitar alguna ayuda financiera de Servas Internacional. Por favor lea con atención las instrucciones adjuntas. Establece los requisitos que se deben cumplir por un país miembro antes de que se pueda considerar una solicitud de financiación.
