I have just been advised by the Board of Servas Australia that they are CANCELLING the Youth Meeting planned for 24th to 30th January 2009.
With there only being a few registrations received and just 13 weeks to go plus a global economic situation looming, it was their decision to cancel the Youth Meeting.
The venue at Fitzroy Falls required a minimum number of participants to run the event and the opinion of the Board of Servas Australia was that we would not reach the number required and that at a later date there would be heavy cancellation fees imposed on Servas and also cancellation fees imposed by the airlines on those participants who had purchased their airline tickets for their journey to Australia.
I personally am sorry and disappointed that the Youth Meeting will not go ahead as planned.
Servas Australia apologise for any inconvenience that may have been caused by the cancellation.
