* 45% OF SERVAS MEMBERS WORLDWIDE IN SERVASONLINE 24 countries have all their members’ data in ServasOnline (see below) and are starting to use ServasOnline instead of their previous member administration system. Transferring data from Dolphin has been made possible thanks to the work of Janek Dzierzawski, a Polish Servas member and member of the ServasOnline Team. Today 45% of the Servas world members are registered in ServasOnline. The following Servas countries have transferred all their membership data to ServasOnline [date in brackets]: France [July 24 2016], Paraguay [October 2 2016], Lebanon, Jordan, Kenya [October 3 2016], Uganda [October 12 2016], Saudi Arabia [October 16 2016], India, Canada [October 26 2016], South Africa [November 17 2016], Costa Rica [December 23 2016], Turkey [January 23 2017], Guatemala [January 30 2017], Brazil [February 6 2017], Slovakia February 19 2017], New Zealand March 3 2017], Iran March 30 2017], Switzerland, Sweden and Denmark [April 3 2017], Austria and the Czech Republic [May 5 2017], Australia [May 9 2017], Spain May 17 2017]. A Servas traveller can search for a host in those countries in ServasOnline but for the time being it is recommended not to write to them through the mailing system of ServasOnline. The reason is that some of those countries are still in the process of training their members using the new system. So please use traditional means of communication like email and telephone to contact your would-be hosts during this transition period. In addition, three countries - France, Sweden and Denmark - have successfully created their Members list from ServasOnline and are able to publish it in a PDF format. * KOREA TO HOST SICOGA 2018 Servas Korea will be hosting the next Servas International Conference and General Assembly (SICOGA) in Seoul in the Republic of Korea in October 2018. The planned dates are October 13 20, 2018. The decision was made at the 2017 SI Executive Committee (Exco) meeting held from March 30¬April 2, 2017 in Spain. The other interested member group, Servas Colombia, has written to congratulate Servas Korea and support them. Further information will be sent when more details are available.
