 Dear Mr. Kim, I'm still receiving reader votes on the Alaska Cruise Ship Tax and will report the results next week. Caribbean cruise prices have imploded this fall, with inflation-adjusted rates as low or lower than we've ever seen them. Two factors contributing to this are the continuing growth of the industry (there are a record number of staterooms to be filled) and the gloomy hurricane forecast for the 2006 season. After a record Atlantic hurricane season in 2005, the experts predicted another busy season (June-November) in 2006, which hurt advance bookings earlier this year. But 2/3 of the way through it, the 2006 hurricane season hasn't amounted to much, and as I write this, there are no active systems anywhere in the Atlantic. The fall Caribbean cruising season is shaping up to be one of the best ever for cruise buyers and Vacations To Go has negotiated enormous discounts for its customers.
