Hello, dear Song Dong Whan-san and Huh Jong-san!
I am very sorry for the tragic overturn of the cruise ship
off Chindo Island. As I had been a high school teacher for
many years, I really sympathize with the parents and the
teachers. I am afraid that there may be some members
of Servas Korea whose children got involved with this
tragedy. I wish there might be some students who will
survive the overturn.

Strangely all the mails with < hanmail. net > address are
returned as error, so please give my sympathy to Mr. Eum
Jay Ryang and Choi Byung Wan.

Servas Kyushu members will gather on Sunday 20 at Seinan-
Gakuin University in Fukuoka.

The news of ferry overturn was a shock to not only Korean people but all of
the world citizen, I guess. Being in the chaos, your encourage message was
big help to me and many Servas Korea members.
So I have to thanks million time for your true condolences from your bottom Heart.

Currently, nine people died and 287 are still missing after a ferry sank off the southwest coast
on Wednesday morning. The ferry carrying 475 people was on its way from Incheon to the
resort island of Jeju.

The passengers included 325 students of Danwon High School in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province
who were on a school trip, of whom about 200 are missing. Some 175 were rescued before
the ferry went under completely, but the others apparently became trapped inside the ferry.

Navy and Coast Guard helicopters and ships and scores of civilian fishing boats rushed to the scene.
But they had rescued only 179 passengers.

Rescued passengers testified that they heard a loud boom before the ferry began to sink.
Korea Police are investigating whether the boat struck rocks while going off the course recommended
by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to reach Jeju faster because it was about three hours behind
schedule due to fog the previous night.

The families and most Koreans are chaos and absent-minded.
